Immunology and Control of Neglected Zoonoses (Leishmaniasis & Chagas disease)

The research activity focuses primarily on the development of vaccines against leishmaniasis (the multicomponent HisAK70 vaccine) and on the design of new therapeutic strategies based on combined immunochemotherapy and drug repurposing. Other pathogens: Trypanosoma, Giardia, Trichomonas.
