Rabbits and hares: possible key role in leishmaniasis

Study shows circulation of Leishmania infantum in humans, dogs, wild lagomorphs and vectors in a municipality with a high incidence of human leishmaniasis in the province of Córdoba (Andalusia), suggesting that rabbits and hares in the area could play a relevant role in the epidemiology of the parasite.
