Genetics and biomarkers of canine idiopathic epilepsy

This research line focuses on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying canine idiopathic epilepsy. - Genetics: Genomic studies using SNP arrays aim to identify chromosomal regions associated with the onset of canine idiopathic epilepsy and treatment resistance. - Biomarkers: Transcriptomic tools are employed to identify biomarkers, particularly microRNAs, in plasma and circulating exosomes, providing insights into disease mechanisms and potential diagnostic targets.
