Mission
The mission of SAMYLABS is centered on the democratization of metal 3D printing technology. They aim to lower the barriers to entry—price, complexity, and size—that have historically limited this technology to major aerospace or automotive corporations.
Their mission stands on three main pillars:
1. Technological Accessibility
They strive to make SLM technology affordable for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), technical schools, and research centers. By creating more compact and cost-effective machines, they ensure that ´metal prototyping´ is no longer an unreachable luxury.
2. Innovation and Sovereignty
As creators of national technology, their mission includes developing a Full Stack solution. They don`t just assemble parts; they innovate in both mechanical design and software to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers and strengthen the local advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
3. Simplicity and Integration
SAMYLABS wants industrial metal printing to be as easy to implement as plastic (polymer) printing. This involves:
Reducing infrastructure requirements (no need for specialized industrial power grids).
Creating intuitive software so that users don`t need to be PhDs in materials science to get professional results.
Products and services
Their flagship machine is designed to be compact and accessible, breaking the myth that metal 3D printing is only for massive factories.
Versatility: It is built for industrial environments, research labs, and even offices, as it operates on standard domestic voltage.
Materials: It primarily works with 316L Stainless Steel, C300 Tool Steel, and Inconel 718, though it is capable of using aluminum, titanium, and cobalt-chrome.
In-house Technology: Unlike many competitors, SAMYLABS developed their own hardware, firmware, and slicing software (SamyLabs Studio), giving them full control over the printing process.
